| [Comments] I went to germany wishing to visit some castles on a Castle trail.
After Berlin, we went to Dresden and saw two castles...The Zwinger which was a Museum for Old Masters and full of the most amazing paintings imaginable.
The other castle was the home of Modern Art.
Both are in this Album, as well as the statues and tapestries.
The floods of 2004 had damaged many of the beautiful statues which were displayed outdoors in various locations. They were all brought in for renovations and the story is on an information Board which is there for your reference.
Many of the buildings in Dresden are still blackened from the past and today renovations and cleaning is in progress.
There were some beautiful castles on the hill. We went on a tour to see the beautiful and historic sights of Dresden.
Germany is a very interesting country. I have visited a few times now and there is still much more to see.
The castles are now Museums and huge collections of some very famous and valuable artworks from around the world.
The other thing about Germany is the food. Germans love food and their food shops are a dream.
Dresden is noted for its fine China...we did not get to visit the China works but it is there too. There was so much to see in such a short time.
