[Comments] Berlin is a very modern and beautiful city with some fabulous shops, churches, and pubs famous for the wonderful German Beer which can be bought by the 'metre' and is usually brewed on the premises.
Berlin also has some wonderful castles which are now Museums.
I visited Charlottenberg Castle and did a tour wearing an audio box which was fascinating, but photographs inside the sumptouos palace was not permitted, but there are some of outside featuring the ornamental lake and the pebble patterned entrance area.
The once Officers entertainment area, where they met with their courtesans, is now a Fine China Museum and we feasted our eyes on some rare and beautiful pieces of rare and priceless porcelain of stupendous beauty and elegance.
The Zitadale was originally an armed fortress. You can still see the moat, the strong walls and the tracks for the cannons to be hoisted to the walls.
It is now a fabulous Art colony and I was fortunate to meet the artist and take photos of his beautiful and expressive metal sculptures, and the clay statues done by his partner and other artist.
After the Zitadale, which we went to by Underground rail, we had a McDonalds... Grin!!! My hobby is eating hamburgers from MacDonalds around the World.
There is an atmosphere of culture and beauty in Berlin...and the wall is down and what is today is certainly a modern and beautiful city rich in statues and Art works.
