| [Comments] I lived in Wuhan in 2003 teaching English at Wuhan University to undergraduates.
It was one of the most fascinating experiences in my life.
Wuhan was the hot bowl of China and very hot in summer and equally cold and wet in winter.
The Chinese are excellent in the way they treat professors and I was given the best of everything..food, accommodation, and treatment.
I developed close ties with my students and many of them are now studying in Australia and New Zealand.
China is huge. I was impressed with the size of everything and very impressed with the attitude of the workers. They work hard and consistently and appreciate being employed.
Markets and shopping was another huge experience and the food in China was beyond anything I have ever imagined. I ate many exclusive dishes such as snail, turtle, crab, snake and ducks tongues. I loved their spices and the wonderful way food was presented.
I learnt to eat quite well using chopsticks.
The Three Gorges was amazingly beautiful as is much of China.
The people are very friendly to foreigners and I was welcomed everywhere I went.
